Nikolay Dentchev
Nikolay A. Dentchev is Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and CSR at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and at KU Leuven, Belgium. He holds the Solvay Business School Chair of Social Entrepreneurship at VUB, with founding partners Close the Gap, Kluwer Belgium and Euroclear. Nikolay’s research is published in various indexed journals such as Business & Society, Journal of Business Ethics, Business Ethics: A European Review. He serves occasionally as guest editor to special issues in journals such as Business & Society and Journal of Cleaner Production. Nikolay’s research interests are related to social entrepreneurship, sustainable business models and CSR implementation.

Rumen Gechev
Dr. Rumen Gechev is a Full Professor and Director of the Sustainable Development Centre of the UNWE in Sofia. His research and publications in the field of sustainable development and economic policy are internationally recognized. He had been visiting professor in Economics and International Business and number of US and Western European universities. Prof. Gechev is a former Minister of economic development of Bulgaria (1995-97) and Chairman of the 4th Session of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development. Currently, he is a member of the Bulgarian parliament and member of its budgetary and economic policy committees.

Pencho Penchev
Pencho D. Penchev is associate professor at the University of World and National Economy. He is an editor-in-chief of the Economic Alternatives journal, and vice-dean for International co-operation of the Faculty of General Economics at UNWE. Pencho’s research is published in various indexed international journals such as Review of Austrian Economics, History of Political Economy, History of Economic Ideas. His research interests are focused on topics as Economic and Business History, History of Economic Thought, Comparative political economy.

Philippe Eiselein
Philippe Eiselein is a doctoral researcher at the Department of Business at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Belgium. He is preparing his doctoral dissertation on the business models and scalability of social entrepreneurship. His teaching activities cover the subjects of entrepreneurship for Prof. Dr. N. Dentchev and Project Management for Prof. Dr. E. Haezendonck. Since 2015, he has been supporting the VUB Chair of Social Entrepreneurship as a webmaster. His main research interests are in the areas of social entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial development, CSR strategies, and sustainability practices.

Abel Diaz Gonzalez
Abel Diaz Gonzalez is a Ph. D. candidate at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium. His research focuses on the development of ecosystems in support of social Entrepreneurship. He has the ambition to develop this study in Europe and also comparing with different contexts, especially in BoP countries such as Bolivia, Ecuador and Colombia, where he is originally from. He joined the team of the VUB Chair of Social Entrepreneurship in 2016 and currently is supporting the communications and projects management. Abel holds a MSc in Management from the VUB and Corporate Communication & International Relation studies from Universidad del Norte in Colombia.

Neda Muzho is a Ph.D. student in the joint doctoral program between the UNWE, Sofia and Vrije Brussels University. She has earned a MsC degree of European Business and Finance from the Nottingham Trent University, UK. Her doctoral thesis and research interest are focused on the economic dimension of sustainable development. Currently, she is a chief expert at the Investment Department, Financial Supervision Commission of the Bulgarian government.

Jan Jonker
Jan Jonker is professor of Sustainable Entrepreneurship at the Nijmegen School of Management at Radboud University Nijmegen (The Netherlands). In his home country he has been listed for seven years in a row among the Top-100 most influential ‘Green’ Dutch people. His research focuses on transformational trends in society, the development of (new) business models and how these developments are related to organizational change and societal transition. His approach is often based on crowd-thinking, which implies engaging with large groups of people in specific research projects in order to explore and possibly solve issues as a collective endeavor. As a consequence many people consider him a kind of ‘academic activist’, wanting to create change and to have impact. He did a TEDx in 2015 on the central concepts he is working, which you can see here: link. He is author of over 30 books among which the 2014 bestseller on New Business Models, now also available as an ebook in English. More and more he now focuses on a new generation of business models for the circular economy.
Niels Faber
Niels Faber has been an active researcher on social sustainability since 2002. As a researcher, he is affiliated to the Nijmegen School of Management (NSM) at Radboud University Nijmegen (RU – Holland). Additionally, he is lecturer at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen (Holland). His research focuses on knowledge management, forms of organizing, and decision-making in relationship to sustainability. He has authored over 50 publications including books, chapters, scientific papers, and conference papers. He currently focuses on emerging forms of organizing for sustainability and sustainable decision-making.

Florian Lüdeke-Freund
Florian Lüdeke-Freund is Lecturer at ESCP Europe Business School, Berlin, where he holds the Chair for Corporate Sustainability. His research deals with sustainable entrepreneurship, sustainable business models, and innovation. As well as publishing diverse journal articles and book chapters on these topics, he has co-edited an Organization & Environment special issue on “Business Models for Sustainability” (2016), and he is currently co-editing special issues with journals such as Business & Society and Journal of Business Models, where he also serves as an Editorial Advisor. Florian founded www.SustainableBusinessModel.org as a research hub addressing sustainability, business model, and innovation topics. He is a research fellow at the Centre for Sustainability Management (CSM) and a supporter of the Strongly Sustainable Business Model Group at OCAD University, Toronto, Canada. His international research activities include visits to the Universities of St. Gallen (Switzerland) and Stellenbosch (South Africa).

Romana Rauter
Romana Rauter is a specialist in the field of Innovation and Sustainability Management. She works as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Systems Sciences, Innovation and Sustainability Research at University of Graz. She received her doctorate in Social and Economic Sciences with a thesis addressing the topic of inter-organizational knowledge transfer between research organizations and SMEs. She was a Visiting Scholar at the Nijmegen School of Management at the Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands, in 2014. Her current main research interests include open innovation, sustainable innovation, new and sustainable business models, strategic sustainability management and knowledge transfer.
