Tobias Froese

Tobias Froese is a Research Assistant and PhD candidate at the Chair for Corporate Sustainability at ESCP (Berlin campus). End of 2017 he obtained a Master’s degree in International Business and Sustainability (M.A.) at the University of Hamburg. He gathered broad practical experience at companies such as Philips, Beiersdorf, and Humana Kleidersammlung where he was, among others, directly involved in business model innovation, project management, compliance management, and corporate sustainability. In 2019, he was the conference manager of the NBM@Berlin 2019.

His research interests are business models for sustainability, pattern theory, theories of practice, social innovations and alternative economic practices, such as social entrepreneurship and degrowth/post-growth business. He is a reviewer for the Journal of Business Models.

Egbert Willekes

Egbert Willekes is a PhD candidate at the Radboud University Nijmegen and a lecturer at The Hague University of Applied Science. He has a master degree in business economics as well as a chartered accountant degree, both obtained at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. He started his career at KPMG in the international audit practice, followed by several financial jobs for both listed as private owned companies. As former CFO of a Dutch sustainable energy supplier, he worked on the crossing of sustainability and accounting & control. That is also his research topic; to develop accounting & control models for sustainable businessmodels
